Angela Akins Gracia developed a passion for sports as a kid and decided to play golf. Then, she took several classes on how to play golf and developing the necessary skills to create a strong yet calm swing. Through the years Garcia picked up expertise and took part in eight tournaments for high school. During her days as the head coach of the Mable Falls high school's golf team, Garcia took her team to the 3rd position in the 2003 regional competition and they subsequently came with a sixth-place finish in the 2006 competition. This lady, who has 17 medals in her record for national championships as well as being a member of The Women's Texas Golf Association an incredible golfer. Following her high school graduation, Garcia attended Texas Christain University for a number of years. She then transferred to the University of Texas. Once she enrolled at Texas Christain, she was introduced to a competitive setting that made it easier for her to improve her skills as a golfer. Even though she experienced joy and satisfaction as a golfer Angela Akin Garcia never dreamt of playing professionally, instead she chose journalism. The first opportunity she got was upon graduation, as a Fox Sports Southwest Reporter.
